Alfred R. Becker, 90, passed away on October 5, 2015 in New Port Richey, FL. He was born on October 27, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ. He served in the US Army during WWII, then attended the University of Michigan, graduating with an engineering degree. In 1950 he married Sheila Ann Edmiston and the couple settled in Milltown, NJ. Al was active in the local community there, including serving as a member and as president of the Milltown Board of Education, member and Captain of the Milltown Rescue Squad. He was a long time member of the Choir at the United Methodist Church in Milltown. Al is survived by his four children, John Becker, Peter Becker, Claire Hills, and Aleta Jennett, 2 sisters, Nancy Livell and Linda Long, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Al requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to the “Youth Mission Fund” at First United Methodist Church of New Port Richey. A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 11th at First United Methodist Church of New Port Richey, FL.
