Andrea Joy Sistrunk (Cutler) went to be the with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2019, in New Port Richey, FL at the age of 61.

Andrea is survived by her husband of 41 years; Charles A. Sistrunk, daughter; Andrea L. Akins (Michael Akins), sons; Charles A. Sistrunk II and Nathanael D. Sistrunk, siblings; Alonzo Cutler and Adrian Cutler, four grandchildren and one on the way along with many cousins, in-laws, and friends. She was preceded in death by her two sisters; Alesia Cutler and Antoinette Johnson and her parents; Alonzo Clinton Cutler Sr. and Ann Cutler.

Andrea was born on September 25, 1957, in Camden, New Jersey. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School. She participated in African interpretive dance and was the captain of her varsity cheerleading team. Her contagious smile, beauty, and talent captured the eye of Charles. From then, it was love at first sight. She later married Charles on July 16, 1977.

As a military wife, Andrea had the opportunity to travel abroad with her husband. After her husband’s military career, they settled in the suburbs of Chicago where they had three children. Early on, Andrea took on management roles at top retail companies. She later stepped away from those roles and took on a new role as a stay-at-home mom. Andrea was hands-on in and out of the home. She was very passionate about her children’s educations, sports and extracurricular activities.

Andrea and her family later moved to Florida where she enjoyed watching sunsets at the beach, spending time watching movies and football, listening to music with her husband, visiting her grandchildren and attending church with her family.

Andrea was loved and will be missed by many. She’ll be remembered for her caring heart and continuous strength throughout the years and will always be her husband’s “Hero.”

    Alonzo C Cutler Iii says:
You shared with me your medical trials & tribulations in this journey of life. Mere words cannot assuage my heartbreak. My sister was the apple of my eye for fighting the good fight and living the values taught to her by our parents. It is finished. You will join and see your loving parents, caring sisters and I too will join you one day. During your sickness I called you often seen you when I could but cared you in my heart and prayers. You will be missed but never forgotten. Herky, Beverly, Adrian & Patricia Cutler
