Angela Marella of Trinity, Florida, passed away on May 11, 2018 at the age of 82. Angela was born in Faeto, Foggia, Italy in 1936. She came to live in Harrison, New York with her husband Paul and young son Michael in 1960. In the years after their arrival they added daughter Rosemarie and son Anthony to their family. Angela was a devoted wife and mother.
She spent most of her working life in the laundry room of The Osborne Home in Rye, New York. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed the time she spent there, where she was affectionately known as Angie.
At home, Angela and Paul made their own wine, cheese, spaghetti sauce and preserves, and enjoyed entertaining friends and neighbors. Angela was always active. In fact, it was hard to get her to sit down long enough to enjoy a meal.
Angela loved gardening, and spent long hours tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. Her tomato plants were legendary. Always generous, she would frequently share her homegrown produce with family, friends and even passers-by.
She was a devoted parishioner at St. Gregory the Great, and took great comfort in the fellowship of the church.
In the last year of Angela’s life she moved to Florida with her son, Anthony, and became a resident of The Watermark at Trinity, an assisted living community near his home. She loved the wonderful weather and plant life of Florida, and thrived in the warm and active environment of The Watermark. She really appreciated the love and affection of the many associates and friends who supported and her through her time there.
Angela is pre-deceased by her husband, Paul, and son, Michael. She leaves behind her son, Anthony, her daughter, Rosemarie and granddaughter Melissa. She also leaves behind brothers Giuseppe and Mario, and sisters Rosa and Conchetta.
