BUTLER, ROBERT “Bob” 93, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021. He was a member of St. Ignatius Of Antioch Catholic Church, in Tarpon Springs, FL. He was born in Belah, LA on July 26, 1927. He was the son of the late James and Lula (Methvin) Butler. He served in the Army Air Force and was stationed at Westover Field, MA. Bob was a dedicated husband and father. He was predeceased by his parents James and Lula (Methvin) Butler; his daughter, Linda Deorocki; his brothers, Parvin Butler, James Butler and Marvin Butler. He leaves behind his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Butler of New Port Richey, FL; Husband of Linda Deorocki, Bernard, of Holyoke, MA; sons Robert Butler (wife Cynthia) of Granby, MA, Allen Butler of New Port Richey, FL, James Butler of New Port Richey, FL; daughters Debra Clauson (husband Duane) of Agawam, MA, Theresa DeGiulio (husband William) of Longmeadow, MA and Barbara LaLiberte (partner Michael) of Springfield, MA; 14 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren; his sister Joyce Thompson of Jena, LA; brothers Jessie Butler of Phoenix, AZ and Will Butler of Jena, LA. Bob also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who are like family. Bob was a machinist at Hamilton Standard of Windsor Locks, CT and Acme Chain/US Tsubaki Inc. Holyoke, MA. Bob will always be remembered by his family and friends as a ‘Mr. Fix It.” He was a tinkerer. His Grandchildren have often and affectionately stated, “My Grandpa is the smartest person, he can fix anything!” They will always be in awe of him. Bob was a great conversationalist. He had a very social, charming, and endearing persona. He loved music of every genre; however, Country Western was his favorite. Funeral services and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date, due to Covid-19.
