Brenda brought quite the sassiness to our Procurement Department. My favorite memory is her office was always 90 degrees it would take your breath and she just laughed when I told her it was HOT in here. Rest in Peace my friend and you will Never be cold again.

My dear friend Brenda, I find it hard to believe you are gone. I visited you in the rehab center and we laughed like old times. I miss our tete-a-tete's in your office every morning. We had such fun bitching and moaning about everything and everyone - because of course, we knew we were perfect! Rest in peace my friend. I wish you could have enjoyed your "retirement", but I know you are finally out of pain! Love you!!!

I enjoyed working with Brenda. She was so wonderful and fun to talk with and that will be missed. I remember her asking me to shut off the ac vent to her office. I told her it would be hot but she loved it that way. My sympathies and prayers go out to her family.

To the family and friends of Brenda, As I write this I'm smiling. Brenda and I worked together for 8 years and out of those 8 years I have never met anyone that had a work ethic as great as hers. The irony of it is that majority of the department had the same work ethic It must be a West Virginia thing!!!! Brenda I will miss the conversations about my son and your nephew wrestling matches. The way I would make you so mad and I could always count on you to tell me how you felt. and i'd say nothing but have a drink of gin on it . My smile is gone now thinking I won't have a chance to see you. But I'm confidant that I will see you again. You are truly missed.......

To the family of Brenda. I only worked with Brenda for a short time, but she was a joy! We always had a laugh about something while working on a procurement and she always had a response. Even when she was not feeling well, she was ready to have a good laugh with you. I am so sorry for your loss and the loss to all of us that knew her. She was a special lady!

    Cathy Zickefoose says:
To the family of Brenda, I am so deeply saddened. Brenda was not only a true dear friend, she was my work buddy and my office neighbor. She was funny, classy and sometimes sassy. Every morning I would say “Good Morning Sunshine” and she had her funny comeback. Brenda and I laughed everyday about something. Each day before leaving, she would stand outside my door and give me the same gesture. Brenda spoke often of her family and was so happy to be together last year❤️ I loved her dearly and will continue to miss my WV homey. Until we meet again...

I just learned of the passing of Brenda and it breaks my heart. I had the joy of working with her since late 2014. She was a pistol and I loved the banter she and I had over contracts or RFP's etc. I can still hear her southern twang and it saddens me that she is no longer among us. Condolences to the entire Nichols family. RIP Brenda. You will certainly be missed by me.
