Clara J. Gutierrez, age 88, passed away January 23, 2018.  She was born to Miquel Jovinal and Casimira Minia on August 13, 1929 in Esmeralda, Pangasinan, Philippines.  She came to the states in 1986, living first in Hawaii.  She also lived in Washington, California, and Pennsylvania before settling in Florida in 2004.

Clara devoted her life to caring for others.  She raised eight children of her own and loved to spend as much time with her grand and great grandchildren as possible.  She would happily watch after them while her children worked and would even have dinner cooked and ready when her children returned home.  She had the true heart of a nurturing mother.  Clara was Christian by faith and attended Calvary Chapel Worship Center in New Port Richey.

Clara is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ramon Gutierrez; her sons: June Gutierrez (Cynthia); Eddicher Gutierrez (Rose); and Ramon Gutierrez, Jr. (Daylin); her daughters: Susan Valenzuela (Willy), Yolanda Bada (Vincent), Wilma Fears (Paul), Elerita Gutierrez (Parker), and Marrietta Gutierrez (Arnold); sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation for Clara will be held 1pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Michels & Lundquist Funeral home with a funeral service to follow.  She will be laid to rest at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens the same day.
