Daniel Lynn Myers, age 60, of New Port Richey, passed away suddenly on February 3, 2018. Daniel was born in Martinsburg, WV to Ernest Myers and Rosalie Miller on October 13, 1957. He spent most of his life in West Virginia, coming to Florida in 2007. He spent his career as an accountant for a building supply company in West Virginia and worked as the CFO for a local funeral home and cemetery in Palm Harbor.
Daniel was Baptist by faith. In Martinsburg, he attended Second Baptist, and was the choir director for several years. He loved to sing. He also used to enjoy fishing and hunting while living in West Virginia. In later years, he spent much of his time with his beloved wife, Suzanne. Some of their most treasured moments were spent watching the sunset at the beach together.
Daniel was down to earth and so very intelligent. He held two bachelor’s degrees and knew a little something about just about everything. He was also very well versed in the Bible.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 28 years, Suzanne Myers; his step-sons, Richard Gaylor, Jr. and Mark Gaylor; his step-daughter, Wendy Proctor; his brothers, Randall Myers and Stanley Myers; and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation for Daniel will be held at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10am. A funeral service will follow at 11am.
