    Mom and Dad says:
Life is not the same without you The sun still rises in the east And darkness falls at night But nothing now seems quite the same Each day is not as bright. The birds still sing, the flowers grow The breeze still whispers too But it will never, ever be the same world without you. It’s so sad that you had to go Your leaving caused such pain But you were so very special And earth’s loss is heaven’s gain.

    Barbara VanSlyck says:
Eric was a smart boy, eager to learn and participate in life. He was accomplished in acting, scouting, and magic early on and then being a chef and music became his passion. He was easy to talk to and I especially enjoyed the three months a couple of years ago when we spent many afternoons together. We would wonder the antique and used furniture stores and shared thoughts and laughter. His loss, for those who loved him is devastating. He left us too soon. Though we are sad we know he has no more pain and may now play his music in heaven. I will always love you Eric. Aunt Barb

    Mike Dyer says:
The loss of such a young and vibrant life and member of our family is felt to the very core. Eric was my nephew and a part of my heart. He was bright and creative with so much to offer the world. We will miss you Eric but we know you are at peace and I thank God that we will see you again. "For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17. I am comforted by these words.
