Faralyn C. Ballew, (Gammy, lynn, Mildred, mom) 78, of Hudson FL, was called home on August 3rd, 2022 surrounded by those she loved. Born August 6th, 1943 Faralyn was raised in Bridgton, Maine. She spent many years in Connecticut, and New York, and finally found paradise in the sunshine state of Florida. She was a CNA for many years, and a homemaker. In her younger years she was very active in the VFW ladies auxiliary, as well as the American legion and a lifetime member of AMVETS. She loved her family more than anything in the world except: Coca-Cola, 1-5 cigarettes at a sitting, scratching tickets, and “playin’ fuckin’ cards.” Faralyn had an enormous heart for her cats, even feeding and naming the stray cats in the neighborhood. Faralyn was always feeding “her” birds and squirrels, and loved to watch her flowers bloom. Faralyn had many famous lines, the favorites are: “are you ready to loose all your New York money?” “Quit being ridiculous!” “Let’s go smoke” “I’ve got muscles in my ass!”
Faralyn leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who were always entertained by her random and hilarious sense of humor. She will be deeply missed and survived by her husband of 20 years Bennie Ballew, FL. Her daughter Allison (Michael) Sherman, NY. Her son Clinton (Natasha) Baker, NY. Her step children Jamison (Katsuko) Ballew, FL. Sylvia (Travis) Spurlock, FL. Burt Peacock, FL. Tony Ballew, VA. Angel Crossley, FL. Her fur babies: Baby, Tom, and Buddy, FL. Brothers: Jesse (Frances) Staley, ME. Donald Caselden, FL. Stanley (Jay) Staley, CT. William Mason, ME. Grandchildren: Michael Sherman, David Sherman, Tiffany Tennant, Theresa Tennant, Brennen Sherman, Jazmyn Baker, Zachary Baker, Chad Ballew, Kylie Stevens, Caden Ballew, Justin Spurlock, Trenton Spurlock, Dalton Spurlock. Faralyn has to many great grandchildren, and even great great great grandchildren to list individually. She also leaves behind many neices, nephews, cousins, and friends she considered family, that she loved dearly and talked to often.
Faralyn has been reunited with those gone before her: Dorothy “Maxine” Staley (Knight), Mother. Stanley Staley, Father. Tux Ballew, fur baby. Roger Staley, Brother. Robert Staley, Brother. Rosco Staley, Brother. Multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
