Gifts & Memorial Donations

Frank Wilbert Morehouse, 79, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on September 6th, 2021 at The Medical Center of Trinity. He was born Feburary 12th, 1942 in Newark, Ohio to the late Verna (Nye) and Victor Morehouse. Frank graduated from Newark High School class of 1960, and then attended The Ohio State University from September 26th, 1960 to June 8th, 1962. At this time, he decided to join the U.S. Air Force as a Medical Service Spec. from July 27th, 1962 to July 26th, 1966. He spent about a year and a half of his service time overseas with time in Japan. Frank was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church located in New Port Richey, FL.

Once Frank returned from service, life took him in another direction and he got into acting and directing, which he always loved talking about. This fit Frank very well since he was such a people person and loved the interaction with people the most. He spent several years directing and traveling across the United States with Cargill Productions. After this came to an end, he settled in the Daytona Beach area and met his husband Duncan. They were both very fond of the beach and spending time sunbathing.

Even later in life, Frank would still want to go to the beach to get some sun even if it was only for an

hour or two. Frank then turned to what would end up being a lifetime of buying, collecting, and selling antiques with Duncan. They had store fronts in the famed Miami circle, Atlanta, GA area, among others. Along with having store fronts at different periods, they also traveled and participated in various antique shows to buy and sell. One annual show that Frank always talked about was The Original Round Top Antiques Fair in Carmine, TX, which they both always thoroughly enjoyed.

Frank and his husband Duncan enjoyed entertaining close friends and family at their lovely Florida home. Frank also enjoyed spending time outside gardening, and creating new projects for his husband! They always loved having family visit whether it was Frank’s mother and aunt down for the winter months in the early years or nephews down to visit in the later years. Truly everyone was always welcome to come visit. Frank and Duncan were not only spouses but also best friends, and enjoyed every part of each other’s life together whether it was working together for many years in the antique business, traveling, or just time spent at home. They truly did everything together.

Frank is survived by four nephews, Jerry (Twila) Rine, Jeff Rine, Seth Morehouse, and Eric (Errica) Morehouse; two grandnieces, Sarah Elizabeth Morehouse-Gilland and Rachel Grace Morehouse; and two grandnephews, Jeremy Rine (Nicole Nichols), and Jerrod Rine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his husband, Duncan Bradshaw; sister, Connie (Morehouse) Rine; and brothers, Terry “Tim” Morehouse, and Victor Lee (Buddy) Morehouse.
