Gena Lynne (Johnson) Vitiritti

Gena Lynne (Johnson) Vitiritti, age 52, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away on October 28, 2023. She was born in Jamesport, Missouri on March 11, 1971 to Cheryl Sparks (Carnes) of Joliet, Illinois and Howard Johnson of Gilman City, Missouri.

Gena grew up in Joliet, Illinois. She is survived by her children, Susan (James) Angel, Toni Marie Trotta, Brandon Vitiritti and Ashley Vitiritti, and her grandchildren, Cassidy, Emily, Makayla, Jamie, Madison, Aubree, Luna, Anthony, Delilah, Ysabelle and Callie. She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy (Ron) Franzen, Brenda (Pete) Blum Deborah Schoelen and her brothers James (Sharon) Shoelen and William Burt.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her two sons, Bradley Johnson and Robert Trotta, and her granddaughter, Ella. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Malek, Tammy Cannon, Kim Zeigler, Debbie Shoelen and her brother, Raymond Lee Harris.

Gena was an avid fan of Bon Jovi and even got to sit right in front of him during a concert which she talked about often. She worked as a waitress at Aunt Mary’s Restaurant in Mokena, Illinois for many years.

She was an excellent cook. Everyone will miss her sweet potatoes with peaches. She has a sense of humor that had people laughing until their stomachs hurt. She was a lover of animals and had many in her lifetime.

She loved watching movies. Some of her favorites were Christmas Vacation, Honkeytonk Man, Arthur, and all of the Jeff Dunham shows.

She will be greatly missed by her familv and friends!
