Georgette Mitri passed away during the evening of September 7, 2022 at Carrington Place of St. Pete. Born on November 11, 1935, and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, where she enjoyed swimming in the Mediterranean in her childhood, and was a well-known tailor and volunteer nurse. Daughter of her beloved mother Helene, and father Mtanios who have preceded her in death, she is survived by her five children, Elias, Tony, Yolla, Johnny and Georges with whom she immigrated to Canada with in 1977. There she pursued her education, taking many courses, while at the same time working part time and taking good care of her family. She also fervently enjoyed gardening, dancing, and was a generous cook, but most of all she loved being a mother, and was willing to do anything for her children. She was known to be compassionate and generous to anyone in need and had a soft spot in her heart for animals too. She was an active member of her faith and will be missed by many.
