Esposito, Gerald “Jerry” 88, of New Port Richey passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Marliere Hospice Care Center. Jerry was born in the Bronx, NY, and came here 29 years ago from Yonkers, NY. He retired from Pan-American World Airways after 30+ years of Service as Maintenance Crew Chief at J.F.K. Jerry attended St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Port Richey, was a member of the K of C, and a life long member of VFW Post #7845 where he served as Chaplain for several years. He was a Navy Seabee and WWII veteran, proudly serving in the Philippines, Okinawa and Japan. Survivors include his loving companion and best friend Lorraine McDonald; son; Vincent (Lyn) in Willes Barre, PA; grandsons, Vincent Christopher, Dana; Sherry Faulkner (Jack) of Chaddaford, PA, Robert Stitt (Mimi) of Eastvill,VA; their children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife D. Lorraine, Geraldine and Michael. Memorial Mass will take place at St. James on Friday March 28, 2014 at 10:30 am. Military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell.
