Gwendolyn “Gwen” McCain

Gwendolyn Carolyn McCain (Age 77) June 20, 1945, Mobile Al – March 15 2023, New Port Richey Fl Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Elenore Sawyer and ex husband Walter B McCain. Gwendolyn is survived by her 5 siblings Cecilia Mallon (Aurthor), Richard Sawyer, Michael Sawyer, Lorretta Sawyer, and David Sawyer. She is also survived by her 3 children Jacqueline Pace Lassiter (Sammy), Carl Michael Pace, and Sonya Lynn Mulkey. Along with her 3 children, Gwendolyn had 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Gwendolyn was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved and cared for everyone she met. She was a devout Christian, singing in church choir and volunteering for countless church events at College Park Church in Ocala Florida. Gwendolyn certainly had a love for life that no one could deny. She enjoyed traveling, spending her time with family, and piddling around doing yard work. Gwendolyn spent most of her spare time with her family and grandchildren. Family time was spent at the pool, adventure days at the theme park or springs, or just a simple holiday gathering. Gwendolyn loved entertaining and her family will tell you, she would cook you a delicious meal or cake anytime. Gwendolyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
