Idamary Gardiner

April 22, 1936 - March 31, 2018
Idamary Gardiner

Idamary Joan Gardiner (LeBlanc), 81, of New Port Richey, entered eternal life on March 31, 2018. Her spirit is carried on by sons: Mitchell Gardiner (Cindy) and Vincent Gardiner (Kelly); daughters Alice Keenaghan (Patrick), Pamela Harrington (Bob), Judith Rogers (Al), Constance Focht, and Corinne Greene; nineteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; a beloved sister, Joyce Szklarz; and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life. A special thank you is extended from the family to the staff of Marliere Care Center and Dr. Michael Ehab who cared so well for Idamary.

Visitation for Idamary will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 5pm to 7pm at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home.  Mass will be celebrated the following day, Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She will then be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with a committal service to commence at 1:30pm.

Idamary is reunited with her husband of 55 years, Ron. Today we are sure they are dancing, holding hands and surrounded by music, laughter and love.

Idamary lived an amazing life full of travel and experiences most people just dream of.  Without a doubt, she would tell all of us that her heart was full, that she was ready to join Ron and other beloved family and that she definitely had no regrets. Heaven will be a better place with her – rest in peace, Oma!

    Bob Harrington says:
My deepest sympathies. People like Idamary are an inspiration to everyone around them. Although she is gone now, she will continue to be an inspiration for me. Always a positive or kind word in everything she did. I can't help but smile when I think about her legacy. What she taught her children and her children's children will provide a compass for them as they navigate life. She will be greatly missed by all….

    Heidi Wolfe says:
Idamary was one of the most loving and caring people you could ever have the pleasure to meet. She was angel on earth. She was strong in her faith and lived it every day, by both her words and actions. She will be missed by many family and friends who had the blessing to be a part of her life. My prayers and love go out to the ones left behind to cherish her memory until we meet again .xoxoxo

Our life’s journey is filled with so many experiences, but the greatest experiences are those that are spent with family and the people we love the most. Alice, your mom created an amazing family and through your loving stories I got to learn about this amazing woman. My heart and my love are with you and your family now and always.
