    Bob Delaforce says:
My summer break of my freshman year at Western Michigan University led me to a summer part-time job at WGRD doing sign-off shift 5pm to 9-ish. Jim and I formed a friendship which carried over to other jobs at WJEF, WTRU and even into J.A. Francis and Associates. We last talked as I was subbing on the air at WGVU-AM "Real Oldies" and he was driving a motorhome to Florida about 3 years ago. He was a good mentor, always jovial and full of laughs (especially at my golf game!). Sadly, I lost his phone number. I wish we could have shared more in our retirement. I hope family has such great memories as all who knew and worked with him.

    John Klunder says:
Had much fun with Jim in high school, especially singing pop tunes in the locker room after football practice. May all the joys you shared with Jim be a comfort to you at this time, especially knowing that he is with The Lord.

Dear Barbara and family, On behalf of the Aquinas Faith community, we extend our sympathy upon learning of your husband, James' death. He was definitely a man of faith and service. May God grace you with Gratitude and Peace as you remember his life through family stories and celebrate his Risen Life in Christ with your faith community . We will remember James by name during our monthly Memorial Mass for deceased Alums, their family members and benefactors of the College. The liturgy will take place on Thursday December 7 at 4:30pm in Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel here on campus. Be with us in a spirit of prayer from your Florida home. Be assured of our prayerful support. Sister Mary Ann

    Skip & Karen Carney says:
Hey Barb, I am really sorry you lost your man and best friend. You and Jim were a great team, and I have great memories from the times we spent together...though I wish there had been more. By the way, I still owe Jim $10 for a bet I lost when I told him there was no way Americans would be stupid enough to re-elect Bill Clinton... Boy, was I mistaken. Anyway, I now owe you $10 and will gladly pay my debt next time I see you. I hope that will be soon. Hugs from North Carolina to you, Heather, and Gaylen.
