James J. Molloy Jr, (Jim), 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2018 in New Port Richey, FL.  He joined the Navy in 1959 after graduating from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1969.  Before being discharged from the Navy, he married his wife Cecile E. Guertin on August 5, 1967 and moved to Quincy, MA. He is survived by his two children, James and Susan as well as three grandchildren.  He enjoyed watching and playing sports.  At 70 years old, he and his State Championship Florida team traveled to Las Vegas, NV and won the Senior Olympics in softball for their age group.  In lieu of flowers, please share a charitable contribution to Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Port Richey, FL, where he attended mass regularly.

    I worked for the great man at Bank of Boston and I do mean great man. Had he asked me I would have followed him to Boston Financial as his wingman. I appreciated the faith and the trust that he showed me. I'm glad he enjoyed his retirement because he was hell on wheels in the office and needed to slow down. He was an amazing guy and I loved him as my boss.
