PERRY, James R. 91, passed away on June 2, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Elaine H Perry. James is survived by daughter Susan Perry-Emens (Peter), sons Thomas (Edna Buddendorf) and David (Pamela); grandchildren Bryan Emens (Stacey Runnells), Jamie Caira (Jonathan) and Nathan Perry as well as significant other Carol Cogswell. Born in Pontiac, MI, James moved to Florida 42 years ago from Perrysburg, OH. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, OH, briefly played baseball for the Chicago Cubs and proudly served the US Army in the Korean War. For 50+ years, James worked in the printing industry, both in the Toledo and Tampa areas. Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, FL. A military-style burial ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 11:30 am at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable contributions in James’ name be made to Honor Flight of West Central Florida, PO Box 55661, St Petersburg, FL  33732 or go to www.honorflightwcf.org

He will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed by all who knew him.
