Berg, Julia “Jewel” E, 96, of New Port Richey, passed away peacefully at the Medical Ceneter of Trinity on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Julia was born on January 1, 1920 in Flushing, New York. She was the daughter of George and Martha Beckwith. Julia worked for many years as a cafeteria worker. She and her husband, Ragnar, relocated to Florida in 1978, coming from Long Island, New York. Julia was a lover of music and was a church organist for Sun Coast Baptist Church.

Julia is predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Ragnar A. Berg. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Dennis) DeRight and Lauren (Robert) Hawkins; and sister, Georgia Antignano.

A visitation is to take place on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 10-11 am at the Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home. A funeral service is to follow at 11 am. A graveside service and final interment will take place at Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, Florida.
