Kathleen “Kathy” M. Ketcham, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at her home in Trinity, Florida. She was born on July 27, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. Daughter of Charles “Bob” Ketcham and Margaret “Marge” Wielepski. She graduated from Archbishop Keough High School, and maintained a close relationship with her Class of 1975 sisters.
Kathy moved to Florida in 2003 to be closer to family. Following in her father’s footsteps, she was passionate about her career in municipal waste water business and pump sales. Kathy didn’t conform to standards, and was a strong hitter. Following complications from surgery last fall, her colleagues signed a baseball bat to inspire her during recovery. She was a real slugger!
Kathy was full of life; she loved traveling the world and experiencing other cultures, cycling, and her pets. More than anything, she loved spending time as “Mimi” with Grant, her grandson. She was a newlywed, having recently gotten married to John in September 2018. Kathy had a huge heart and would give anything she had to help her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, John Kramer; children Ryan Young, Autumn (Young) Ward, and Sabrina Holcomb; son-in-law Chris Ward; grandson, Grant Ward; and John’s three sons David, Tim, and Jeff, their spouses, and grandchildren Alex, Olivia, Johnathan, and Stephanie.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on March 30th at 10 a.m. We would like everyone to leave their black attire at home and wear something with flowers, which she loved, or something colorful to honor her wishes of a celebration and not a mourning. Everyone is welcome to deliver a brief eulogy; we would love to hear your happy memories and funny stories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s name to Freedom Service Dogs of America (https://freedomservicedogs.org/).
