Gifts & Memorial Donations

Dovel, Kenneth Lynn, 58, of New Port Richey, passed away suddenly on June 7, 2018. Ken is survived by his fiance, Kathy Teague; his two children, Kyle and heather Dovel; and his grandson, Ryan Dovel. He is also survived by his mother, Laura Hawley Jarvis; sister, Debra Daube, with her husband, David Daube, and her three children, David, Hannah and Armus Daube; sister, Anne Maghak, with her husband, Basil Maghak, and her two children, Austen and Hallie Fognano. He was preceded in death by his youngest sister, Susan Dovel. First and foremost Ken was a loving fiancée, father, papa, brother, uncle, and son. He was also one of the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for. Ken was a golf professional who enjoyed giving lessons and playing golf. He also had a new found love for camping with his fiancée Kathy and their dogs, Mason, Smokey and Brandi. Ken treasured his time spent with his children and family, especially getting to be the greatest
papa a little boy could dream of. He was loved by many and will be missed by even more. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever. A celebration of life for Ken will be held from 1-4 pm, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Crescent Oaks Country Club in Tarpon Springs, FL.

Out of the blue I was thinking of something funny Kenny said which made me search for him on FB only to find this obituary tonight. Kenny and I lived together for 2 years in VA when we were in our 20s. Imagine my surprise when a lifetime passes (20 years) and I’m leaving Publix in Palm Harbor and this guy yells my name and it’s Kenny. It was like that Dan Fogelburg song. (And we did laugh until we cried.) So profound. What are the odds of running into an old boyfriend to find you live in the same town 20 years later. He was the funniest person to be around and we had a great few yrs together and remained friends for many years later and I still have photos of us. Kenny may you rest in eternal peace. The world lost a great guy.
