Lisa Demoraie Piper, 53, of New Port Richey, FL (formerly of West Orange, NJ), passed away on November 19th, 2018. She was born on June 16th, 1965 to Richard and Alice Piper in Wantagh, NY. She grew up on Staten Island, spent summers at Cedar Grove Beach Club, and graduated from Tottenville High School. Lisa’s passion for art first led her to The Parsons School of Design, where she majored in Illustration. A professor of printmaking at Parsons suggested that Lisa should study with the renowned printmaker Antonio Frasconi at Purchase College, where Lisa went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Printmaking. She was a talented artist who enjoyed sketching in her spare time. Most recently, she worked at Bayonet Point Middle School. She attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in New Port Richey, where she sang in the choir and was active in their community outreach committee. She particularly enjoyed crocheting pieces for the outreach projects. Lisa will be missed by her family. She is survived by her parents Richard and Alice, her beloved children Rebecca and Michael and their father Joe DePalma, her sisters Robin (Kyle) and Kimberlee (Clarence), and her nieces Elizabeth (Trevor), Grace, Mary, and Alice.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the St. Stephen’s Outreach Committee in Lisa’s honor.
