Lucille M. Scotella, age 92, of New Port Richey, passed away August 13, 2021. Lucille was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 13, 1928 to Valentino Ciulio and Sally Maccaroni. She was a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker, raising her family in the Chicago area. She came to Florida in 2000 from North Aurora, IL.
Lucille was a remarkable woman. She loved reading and crocheting. She played piano and was a soprano opera singer. She was so talented that she was chosen for a special choir that performed for the Pope in Chicago. Lucille had a vivid imagination and such a creative mind. She was an exceptional cook and a wonderful baker, which are usually not skills that a person has in tandem. Lucille adored her family and they her. She leaves a legacy of love and kindness and will be so sorely missed.
Lucille joins her beloved husband, Michael, of 68 years who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her sons, John and Michael; her daughters: Kathleen, Sally, and Valerie; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on August 25, 2021 at 11am. Lucille will then be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery.
