Mary Ellen Johnson, age 87, of Wesley Chapel, passed away February 14, 2021. Mary Ellen was born April 13, 1933 in Chicago, IL. She spent most of her working years as a school bus driver and helping her husband with the heating, AC, and sheet metal working company that he owned and operated. She was an active member of the United Missionary Baptist Church in Buncombe. Mary Ellen and her husband raised their family in Aurora and Oswego, and then retired to a beautiful rural property in southern Illinois.
Mary Ellen loved camping in her younger years. She enjoyed being in nature and bird watching. Mary Ellen adored people, especially her family. She will be well remembered for the devoted wife, caring mother and loving grandmother she was.
Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Edward; her sons, Clark (Judith) and Randy (Erika); her daughters, Cynthia Kroc (James) and Karen Anton (Gus); nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Services for Mary Ellen will be held at a later date in Illinois.
