Michelle Barnish

August 6, 1968 - December 22, 2020
Michelle Barnish

Michelle Denise Barnish, age 52, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on December 22, 2020. Michelle was born on August 6, 1968 to Patrick Sheridan and Denise Wildey in Royal Oak, MI. When she was in high school, her grandfather died, and she moved to Florida to be with her grandmother. Her nurturing spirit lead her into a career in teaching. She spent most of her adult years working in preschool education and childcare, most recently for Genesis.

Michelle adored her dogs: Scooter, Daisy, and Baby. She cherished her friends and family. She enjoyed yoga and was a voracious reader. Pink was her absolute favorite color, and she liked to have her “bling.” But it was her love for her job that tells you the most about her.

Michelle was a woman full of joy and life. She could bring up anyone’s day with a laugh just by being her. She was outgoing and friendly. She had a true light inside her that just radiated through her contagious smile. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Denise Sims (James Harris), and her father, Patrick Sheridan; her sister, Colleen Sheridan; her grandmother, Anita Wildey; her husband, Tim; her three sweet dogs; and countless more dear friends and family.

I will always remember the fun times with Michelle. We did some Karaoke and other fun, crazy things. We would be listening to music and she would change the words. She always made me laugh. When we went away for a weekend all we did was laugh the whole time. I miss you so much Michelle and miss our fun times together. Rest In Peace.

Genesis School and Longleaf Learning Center says:
Michelle was a wonderful teacher and she loved working with young children. That love was apparent every day, as she guided and cared for her students.  She always said that teaching was her great joy and her absence will be felt on both a personal and professional level.  This is a very sad time for everyone at Genesis School and Longleaf Learning Center. We will always remember Michelle for her great kindness, sweet demeanor and beautiful smile.  We send our love and heartfelt prayers to the family. With deepest sympathy, from her friends and colleagues

Michelle was one of my best friends in high school. I spent many hours at her house before she moved from Texas to Florida. She has always made me smile and I will always have fond memories of her. I am praying for the family.
