Gifts & Memorial Donations

Phillip Leonard, age 76, of Wesley Chapel, passed away January 5, 2019. He was born November 2, 1942 in Newark, NJ. He lived in Jacksonville for a time thereafter, which is where he met the love of his life, Beverly Leonard. They were married in 1963 and moved to the area in 1965. Phillip was a masonry builder and built the house they would raise their son, Scott, and where Beverly still resides today with his own two hands.

Phillip enjoyed watching sports, especially when it was Scott playing. He was always involved in whatever his son was interested in at the time. He was a true family man. He also used to do a lot of woodworking and tinkering in the garage when he was younger. Phillip loved to fish, despite his tendency to get sea sick. He was a man who will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

Phillip is survived by his dear wife of 55 years, Beverly; his son, Scott and daughter-in-law, Jayne; his grandchild, Paxton; and his brothers, BIll and John.

Visitation for Phillip will be held on January 10, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home with a service to follow at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to HPH Hospice or to Home Sweet Home Assisted Living Facility in Phillip’s name.

    Mary Cramer says:
Phil, you were such a huge part of my growing up. The oldest of three brothers, my cousins, you kept me laughing so hard I was constantly yelled at by my parents to hush! I remember when you and Bev started dating, she had the coolest beige Volkswagen Beetle that I think of today whenever I see one. Phil, you will always be in my heart. May your memory be eternal.
