Ricky A. McClain, born on January 28, 1958, and formerly of Eldred, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023, in Port Richey, Florida. He was 65 years old at the time of his passing.  Ricky led a fulfilling life, serving his country as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to his work as a custodian at Otto-Eldred High School. Ricky took great pride in his profession and made a positive impact on the school community through his hard work and dedication.  In his personal life, Ricky found companionship and love with Sherry Alger Ward, who was his life companion for eleven cherished years. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters Theresa (Kryn) McClain MD., Tiffany McClain Pharm. D (Marc Peluso), Tracy McClain (Zack Crafton), and Grace Ward. His son Timothy (Danielle) McClain also survives him. Ricky was a proud grandfather to Jameson, Charles, Anderson, Julianna, Nick, and Zackeriah, and he eagerly anticipated the arrival of a baby boy McClain, due in 2024.  Ricky McClain was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Patricia McClain. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Randy (Judy) McClain, Curt (Renee) McClain, sister Tammie (Charlie) Basil, and numerous nieces and nephews.  While Ricky’s obituary focuses on his professional and familial life, it is important to acknowledge the impact he had on those around him. Ricky was known for his kind and caring nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be remembered for his warm heart and the love he shared with his family and friends.

    Dory Alger says:
Boy will I miss you. The every morning, “what’s the plan for today” speech! My football, hockey and baseball companion. No more random pictures of the dogs. I will remember how kind you were to me and your humor. You made me laugh often. Heaven got lucky to have you, my friend.
