Robert Downs

Robert Downs, beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 54. He was born on August 24, 1968, in the charming town of Adak, Alaska, and his departure from this world has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him.  Robert led a fulfilling life both personally and professionally. As a Land Surveyor, he exhibited dedication and precision in his work, leaving an indelible mark on the projects he undertook. His commitment to excellence was evident in every endeavor he pursued.  In addition to his professional achievements, Robert found immense joy in being a loving father to his son, Graydon Downs. Their bond was unbreakable, and Robert’s fatherly love and guidance will forever be cherished by Graydon.  Robert was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Downs, and his mother, Barbara Ortwein Downs. Their loss was deeply felt by Robert, and their memories will be kept alive in the hearts of those who mourn his passing.  While Robert’s interests and hobbies were not explicitly known, it is without a doubt that he possessed a rich inner life and was passionate about various aspects of the world around him. His presence and friendship were valued by many, and the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him will not be forgotten.
