Robert E. Baird, age 79, of Port Richey, passed away November 6, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born December 17, 1936 to Eugene and Elsie Baird in Quincy, IL.  After proudly serving his country in the US Army, Robert came to Florida in 1959.  He was a respiratory therapist and department manager for Community Hospital in New Port Richey for most of his working years.  He loved the outdoors.  Robert could be found camping, hunting, or fishing in his free time, though his family jokes that he made more fires than he caught fish.  He is very well remembered by all that knew him. 

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Amelia Gwen; his sons: Randy (Cora), Bobby, Bill (Mary), and Bruce (Sigrid); his daughter, Robyn; his brother, Donald; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren with one more on the way.  He will be laid to rest privately at Florida National Cemetery.
