Russell John Thompson, age 56, of New Port Richey, passed away July 20, 2022. was born June 28, 1966, in Milwaukee, WI to Lynne Marie and Ronald James Thompson. He was a plant manager for Venetian Tile during his working years. Russell was a loyal, life-long Packer fan, avid fishermen, and he loved the band Metallica.

Russell is preceded in death by his father, Ronald James Thompson. He is survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Laura Rulo; children, Billy Quinlan USAF (Sidney), Anthony Quinlan (Jessica), Ryan J. Thompson, and Rachael J. Thompson; his mother, Lynne Marie Thompson; brother, Ray Charles Thompson (Heather); and nieces and nephew, Cynthia Thompson, Madison Thompson, Hadlie Thompson, and Colton Thompson.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home on August 6th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. A celebration of Russell’s life will commence at 2:30pm.
Those who knew Russell will miss his wit and his smiles, his companionship, cooking, and love.

    Rest with God. I know your journey wasn't what you wanted, but I know you loved your family in the only way you could. We do the best we can with what we have.     My sincerest condolences for your family at this time. We lost touch with each other several years after high school. We met through a neighborhood friend during my freshman year at Brown Deer High School and hung out with the same group of friends all through high school. He was a year younger. He was a good friend and will be missed.
