Samantha Josephine Cooper, 34, born on February 14, 1987 in New Port Richey, FL to John Henry Cooper Jr. and Lynn Patricia Marquis. She passed away on February 6, 2022 in New Port Richey, FL. Sammy Jo grew up in the New Port Richey and Holiday, FL area her whole life.

Sammy was a graduate of Mitchell High School class of 2006.  She was an avid softball player from an early age until she was 19.  She enjoyed traveling all around to play in tournaments. She was an animal lover. Could cook like no other. Good friend to many.

She was a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and aunt, but most importantly she was a loving mother to her son, Bradley.  She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Sammy Jo was preceded in death by her Father John H. Cooper Jr of Ocala, FL; Grandparents Jackie and Bill Gossett of New Port Richey, FL; Grandparents Charles and Josephine Haggett of New Jersey; best friend Patricia Blankenship of Holiday, FL and several Aunts and Uncles.

Sammy was the Mother of son Bradley Banco of New Port Richey, FL; daughter of Lynn Marquis of New Port Richey, FL; stepdaughter to Allen Marquis Sr., Holiday, FL and Marianne Cooper Apopka, FL; sister of Curtis Cooper(Amanda) Clayton, NC and John Cooper III, New Port Richey, FL; stepsister to Allen Marquis Jr(Cara) New Port Richey, FL; Joey Marquis New Port Richey, FL; Sabrina Marquis Holiday, FL; Kimberlee Harvey Apopka, FL; niece to many Aunts and Uncles, an Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a  cousin to many.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12 from 10-2 at Michels & Lundquist.

In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to be made to a savings account for Bradley Banco’s future or a plant contribution to the memorial garden Bradley would like to have for his mom.
