Sylvia Anita Harris, a devoted daughter, loving mother, and dedicated Aircraft Fuel Technician, passed away on August 8, 2023, in New Port Richey, Florida. She was born on January 24, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio. Sylvia was 68 years old at the time of her passing.  Sylvia began her professional journey serving her country as an Aircraft Fuel Technician in the US Airforce. Her commitment and skills were recognized throughout her career, and she made a significant impact in her field.  In her personal life, Sylvia was a caring and nurturing mother to her beloved daughter, Jocelyn Harris. She was always there to provide love, support, and guidance to her family. Sylvia had a compassionate heart and will be deeply missed by all those she leaves behind.  Sylvia is preceded in death by her father, A.J. Jones, and her mother, Christine Eddins. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved Sylvia.  During this difficult time, we remember Sylvia for her unwavering dedication, strong work ethic, and devotion to her family. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.

Services and visitations will be held on Wednesday August 16, at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11am with Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery. May Sylvia Anita Harris rest in eternal peace, knowing that her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.


Funeral Service

The funeral will take place on August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home (5228 Trouble Creek Road. New Port Richey, Florida. 34652) followed by burial at Florida National Cemetery cemetery (6502 SE 102nd Ave. Bushnell, FL.)
