Gifts & Memorial Donations

Bratcher, Theresa Ann, 51, of Brooksville, Florida passed away on January 1, 2019. Theresa was born on October 10, 1967 in Ferndale, Michigan to Jackie and Billie Gossett, and she was the youngest daughter of six children.

In 1993, Theresa married Roger Bratcher, and they were together for 10 years. They had two beautiful children, Sandra and Ryan, who were Theresa’s greatest joys and proudest accomplishments in life.

Theresa was a certified nurse’s assistant and had a special gift for providing care to the elderly and infirmed. She was dedicated to caring for and serving others at various care facilities in the Tampa Bay Area.

Theresa enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time with family and friends around the fire pit. She had a wicked sense of humor and loved making others laugh. She had a green thumb for gardening and had no problem getting “down and dirty” doing lawn removal with her father’s business or working on a friend’s farm.

She was the beloved mother of Ryan Allan Bratcher of New Port Richey, Florida and Sandra Louise Bratcher of Orlando, Florida. She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Daniel of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Cheryl Cooper of Royal Oak, Michigan; one brother, William (Bill) Gossett of Boise, Idaho; aunts Marguerite McIntyre and Nora Chimner of Greenbush, Michigan, and Ann Peters of Russellville, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Cooper (1992) and John Henry Cooper (2012); her mother, Jackie Gossett (2010); and father, Billie M. Gossett (2011).

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral home located at 5228 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey. The family has requested donations in Theresa’s name be made to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. Service arrangements under direction of Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care of New Port Richey.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Ms. Bratcher. Our Creator never wanted the human family to suffer such sorrow, and he promises to undo all heartache in a future day. I hope you find the warm conversation between Jesus and Martha at John 11:23, 24 encouraging and that it bolsters your spirits.

Oh how my heart hurts. As the years went by we didn't get to see each other much but the visits here were always great. You made me laugh so much just being you. You never lost that northern accent no matter how far south you went. I love you and I am going to miss you so much. I will never forget you

Theresa you were my real life baby doll. I would dress you up and take pictures of you when you were small. We shared a bedroom for years and you drive me crazy. This is the hardest good bye I have ever said. My heart is broken but I will see you again in the future. Love you so much it hurts.
