Thomas M. Carey

Thomas M. Carey, a loving husband, father, cherished grandfather, and devoted brother, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Largo, FL, at the age of 81. He was born on June 2, 1942, in Chicago, IL, to Martin and Frances Carey.

Thomas lived a life filled with joy and adventure, always embracing the beauty of the world around him. He found great solace and happiness in spending time outdoors, appreciating nature’s wonders. Thomas had a deep passion for living life to the fullest, savoring every moment and making the most of each opportunity that came his way. He had a heart full of compassion and selflessness, dedicating his time to volunteering and helping others in need.

Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Carey, and his children: Kathleen (Jeff) Oliver, Patricia (Mark) Contey, Michael (Elaina) Carey, Joseph Carey, Virginia Ortiz, and Rebecca (Corey) Carey. His presence will forever be treasured by his grandchildren: Oscar, William (Kelsey), and Jason Ortiz, Bryan and Matthew Contey, Grace Oliver, Raeleene Lilly, Matthew, and Mark Tapia. Thomas also leaves behind his beloved brother, Patrick Carey.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Frances, and his brother, Martin. Although he may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on through the memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
