Vera Balmenti

Elvira C. Balmenti, age 100, of New Port Richey, passed away January 20,2019. Vera was born in New York, NY on July 10, 1918 to August Petrucci and Marie Cafiero. She worked as a bookkeeper in retail for Macy’s and Sears in her working years. She always had a knack for numbers and loved word puzzles.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ben J. Balmenti. She is survived by her daughters, Marie George (Bob) and Barbara Balmenti, three grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours for Vera will be held at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24,2019 from 6pm to 8pm. Her funeral mass will celebrated on Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church followed by entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, FL.
