Gifts & Memorial Donations

William Joseph Claburn, 71, of Tampa Florida passed from this life on March 17, 2022. Born on April 20, 1950, he was the son of James Lee Claburn and Dorothy Ann Claburn Wilson (Whitted), who preceded him in death, along with his sister Shirley Ann Claburn. He is survived by his children Bryan Joseph Claburn and his wife Samantha Claburn, Brittany Renae Graves and her husband Dakota Graves, and Brandon Michael Claburn, along with his granddaughter Avery Graves. Also surviving are siblings Diana, Richard, Ellen, and James Jr. along with many nieces and nephews.

Bill raised three children who absolutely adored and looked up to him. He loved his children and granddaughter more than anything. They were certainly the light of his life, and he was everything a dad should be, he gave his all for his family and they felt it.

Bill also enjoyed his daily walks and time with his other “furry child” Teddy.

Before retirement, Bill worked many years at TAW Tampa Armature Works in sales. He took pride in his job and working with his many clients.

Bill had many hobbies. From his early years, he was always building or tinkering with something. He enjoyed going to yard sales and at one time had a rather large vinyl record collection. In his later years, Bill really enjoyed 2-way radios. He took much pride in this and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and helping others get their radios working.

Bill was known for his witty and funny sense of humor. If you ever said I love you to Bill he would always say “I love you more”.  And he deeply loved all his family and friends everyday – all day!  Bill was the first one on board when the family got together.  Every adventure, every trip, you could find Bill. This was evident by his many trips to Disney World, trips to see family from coast to coast, and just 5 years ago going zip lining with his children. His family meant the world to him, and he made a point to keep each member close to his heart every day.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Michaels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road New Port Richey, FL 34652 with service to follow at Noon.
