Wilma Marie King

Wilma Marie King, age 94, of New Port Richey, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. King; son, Charles F. King, Jr; and granddaughter, Heidi Lynne King Vaughn.

Wilma leaves behind three sons, Duayne L. King (Sue), Douglas L. King (Linda), and Craig M. King (Lori); five grandchildren, Julie (Jim), Shawn (Amy), Dawn (Frank), Evan (Lauryn), and Emily; ten great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Wilma was a faithful Christian and an accomplished artist. She loved her family and was quick-witted, always keeping us laughing. Wilma’s compassionate nature led her to become a nurse, a profession which she excelled in. She will be missed by all who met and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, FL 34652. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wilma’s memory to the Pak-A-Sak program through Hope United Methodist Church. This program benefits local children who may not have the appropriate food resources throughout the week by providing them meals, a cause very dear to Wilma’s heart.
