Alissa E. Mitchell was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After graduating high school in 2012 with honors, she discovered she felt particularly drawn to a vocation dealing with grief and death care, and realized her passion was in funeral services. Alissa has been a full time funeral home employee since May of 2018. She is currently a student at both St. Petersburg College and Saint Leo University, earning her A.S. degree in Funeral Services and her B.A degree in Business Management. It is her dream to continue her ministry to the community by earning her Funeral Director’s license and becoming the manager (and maybe even owner) of a funeral home someday. In her spare time, Alissa is an avid advocate of IBD and Fibromyalgia Research and Awareness. Her hobbies include singing karaoke, practicing yoga, visiting the beach, cosplaying at Bay Area Ren Faire and local conventions, and attending church with her little sister.
